Associated Ceramics Process CapabilitiesManufacturing – ACT has two manfacturing facilities to produce over 1.2 million parts per day. We have a worldwide customer base that relies on our continued commitment to quality and your success.
Extrusion – ACT runs 5 extrusion presses with pressures up to 250 tons. Capable of producing Solid Rods: .025 to 1.5" outer diameter and Tubing: up to 2" outer diameter with 10% minimum wall thickness. Trust the experts.
Pressing – Dry Pressing – We are capable of dry pressing complex geometic ceramic shapes with multiple cavity pressing capabilities to increase production. With over 60 presses with pressures of 20 tons to 250 tons, capable of up to 20 square inches and a Standard Tolerance: ± 1% or ± .005, whichever is greater. Machining – In addition to our Dry Pressing abilities Associated Ceramics is able to machine complex shapes and machine multiple holes into tubing shapes. Firing – Associated Ceramics has 8 automatically cycled kilns, 2 continuous firing kilns capable of sustaining temperatures up to 3100° F. Grinding – ACT offers additional product finishing services in the form of 6 automatic grinders, 2 automatic grinders for complex geometric shapes. Specializing in precision grinding for superior surface finishes. Standard Tolerance: ± 1% or ± .005, whichever is greater. Tooling – We offer an in-house tool shop to maintain and control quality and cost savings passed on to our clients. ACT has a comprehensive CAD tool design workstation offering quick turnaround time on original tooling designs. It all begins with you...
