Associated Ceramics Introduces Magnesium Aluminate (Spinel) and Zirconia

Associated Ceramics (ACT) has introduced magnesium aluminate (spinel) and zirconia to its stable of materials. ACT-3B is a dense spinel that has been integral in the advanced battery industries. Associated Ceramics offers a magnesia-stabilized and yttria-stabilized zirconia, which are useful in wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant applications among others. The zirconia components have been used in everything from telecommunications and new energy solutions to the oil and gas industries, both down-hole and upstream. Along with ACT’s other materials, the company is capable of creating custom formulations to optimize customers’ applications.
